Stress-Free Dentistry in a Calm, Caring Environment
Levels of sedation we offer
Dental visits don’t have to feel overwhelming. Our practice offers two levels of sedation tailored to your needs and the nature of your procedure, helping you feel more relaxed and at ease throughout treatment whether you experience mild anxiety or require additional support for longer procedures. Your dentist will carefully review your health history and treatment plan to recommend the sedation option best suited to you.
Minimal Sedation
This gentle sedation option helps ease anxiety and discomfort while allowing you to remain fully awake and responsive throughout your procedure. Often recommended for patients who feel nervous about dental treatment, it promotes a calm, comfortable experience with little to no lingering grogginess, so you can return to your daily routine afterward with ease.
Oral Sedation
Taking a prescribed medication before your appointment helps you feel calm, deeply relaxed, and at ease throughout treatment. While you’ll remain awake and able to communicate with your dental team, many patients feel pleasantly drowsy and find their visit passes quickly. This trusted option is especially beneficial for patients with dental anxiety, sensitive gag reflexes, or longer and more complex procedures.
Nitrous Sedation
Commonly known as laughing gas, this safe and effective sedation option helps patients feel calm and relaxed during dental procedures. Administered through a small nasal mask, it works quickly to reduce anxiety while allowing you to remain fully awake and responsive throughout treatment. Because the effects wear off shortly after your appointment, it’s a convenient option for shorter or less invasive procedures.
Why patients choose sedation dentistry
Ease dental anxiety
Dental fear and anxiety can make it difficult to seek the care you need. Sedation dentistry helps create a calm, comfortable experience, allowing you to feel more relaxed and confident throughout your appointment.
Make Longer Appointments More Comfortable
When you’re relaxed, lengthy or complex procedures often feel much shorter and easier to manage. Many patients are surprised by how quickly their visit seems to pass.
Personalized Around Your Needs
Sedation dentistry can help accommodate a variety of concerns, including sensitive gag reflexes, difficulty sitting comfortably for extended periods, or challenges achieving adequate numbness with local anesthetic alone. Your treatment experience can be tailored to support your comfort and individual needs.

Your consultation will include an examination of everything from your teeth, gums and soft tissues to the shape and condition of your bite. Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.

Most patients describe a warm, heavy sense of calm with sedation. Generally, anxiety fades, discomfort dulls, and the appointment passes by quickly. With the oral sedation route, many patients remember very little of the procedure afterwards.
Neither option that we offer puts you fully to sleep. You stay conscious and in control throughout the experience. The sedation simply takes the edge off! There’s no IV, no mask, and no loss of awareness. You can talk to our team at any point.
If you receive oral sedation, yes, you’ll need a trusted adult to drive you home and stay with you for the remainder of the day. We’ll confirm this with you when you book.
Oral sedation effects typically last 4–6 hours after your appointment. You should avoid driving or making important decisions until the following day. Minimal sedation generally wears off much sooner with little to no lingering drowsiness.
