Dental care that's calm, comfortable, and completely stress-free
Levels of sedation we offer
We offer two levels of sedation depending on your needs and the nature of your procedure. Your dentist will recommend the most appropriate option during your consultation.
Minimal sedation
Awake, but deeply relaxed
This mild form of sedation keeps you fully conscious while gently easing anxiety and dulling discomfort. It’s typically used for routine treatments and minor procedures, giving you a stress-free experience without the need for deeper sedation. You’ll feel calm and at ease throughout, with no grogginess afterward.
Oral sedation
Taken as a pill before your appointment
About an hour before you arrive, you’ll take a prescribed pill that produces mild to moderate relaxation. You’ll remain conscious and able to communicate with your dental team, but most patients feel pleasantly drowsy and largely unaware of what’s happening. Some drift into a light sleep and can be gently awakened at any time. It’s one of the most commonly used and trusted sedation methods in dentistry.
Nitrous Sedation
For patients who experience mild anxiety during dental treatments, nitrous oxide—also known as laughing gas—offers a gentle way to stay relaxed. Administered through a small mask placed over the nose, this sedation method creates a sense of calm without putting you to sleep. It works within minutes and wears off quickly after your appointment, making it a convenient option for minor procedures.
Why patients choose sedation dentistry
Ease dental anxiety
Fear of the dentist shouldn’t prevent you from getting essential dental care. Oral sedation creates a calm, worry-free environment so you can finally move forward with your treatment.
Make long visits easier
Complex or lengthy procedures feel much shorter when you’re relaxed. Many patients are surprised how quickly it’s over!
Works around your needs
Sensitive gag reflex, restless leg syndrome, or local anesthetic that doesn’t work well for you? Sedation can be adjusted to address your unique situation.

Generally, we want to see how your whole mouth looks and functions. Before we plan your treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetic of your smile, and most importantly, what you want to achieve so we can help you get there.

Most patients describe a warm, heavy sense of calm with sedation. Generally, anxiety fades, discomfort dulls, and the appointment passes by quickly. With the oral sedation route, many patients remember very little of the procedure afterwards.
Neither option that we offer puts you fully to sleep. You stay conscious and in control throughout the experience. The sedation simply takes the edge off! There’s no IV, no mask, and no loss of awareness. You can talk to our team at any point.
If you receive oral sedation, yes, you’ll need a trusted adult to drive you home and stay with you for the remainder of the day. We’ll confirm this with you when you book.
Oral sedation effects typically last 4–6 hours after your appointment. You should avoid driving or making important decisions until the following day. Minimal sedation generally wears off much sooner with little to no lingering drowsiness.
